We have created the ideal base for your adventure travel in Iceland. You will accommodate at Midgard Base Camp. At Base Camp you will also find a restaurant, bar, café and a small clothing and gear store. It is filled with local people and good vibes. Iceland's weather is dynamic in all seasons. Being well prepared can make all the difference.
It is recommended to have a sturdy pair of broken-in trail shoes, boots, or sneakers (depending on the tour). It is preferable to dress in layers and wear clothing that will wick away perspiration and keep you dry and comfortable. We recommend that you take a small backpack with you where you can keep extra clothes. The weather is very unpredictable. Just as we do ourselves, we advise people to check the weather forecast the evening before their tour. This means you will know which extra clothes to pack.

Today we tie our shoelaces and head on to Þórsmörk on our massive super 4×4 truck. The valley of the Thunder God Thor, Þórsmörk was made in eruptions underneath the glaciers that make its wonderful/otherworldly landscape.
Afternoon:
On our way inside the valley, we will explore the surroundings of the volcano Eyjafjallajökull, the one that erupted in 2010. We stop by the outlet glacier Gígjökull where the eruption first presented itself.
When in Þórsmörk we take on hikes depending on the group’s energy.
Evening:
Enjoy a delicious dinner at Midgard Base Camp Restaurant
This night there is still a possibility to visit the swimming pool or the Lava Centre.
